This was simply a month to be home and relax! I think this was also the first month that we did not take at least a hundred pictures of Elise since she was born. It was nice to slow down and catch up with each other as a family. Swimming lessons continued, and Rebecca began cake decorating classes. She is looking forward to making Elise's birthday cakes, and other special occassion cakes in the future. The class also gives her a nice break once a week to be out of the house and enjoy time with other ladies. We got ourselves early birthday/anniversary presents with new bikes for the family. Andrew has a mountain bike now, and is looking forward to finding a time to hit the trails and really see what he can do. (Of course, with a busy toddler to keep up with, who knows when that will actually happen!) Rebecca stuck to a basic road bike, and they got a great trailer for Elise to ride along. She really seems to enjoy being out and riding with Mommy and Daddy. She also loves her bike helmet, which is simply a blessing in itself! Andrew enlisted Kevin's help in finally pulling out the old gate and putting in a new one, and he is gearing up to complete the deck in the backyard. Elise continues to be a happy as ever, and now cruises the furniture full speed. She is intrigued by books, and her efforts to talk just continue to expand. It is simply an amazing time in our family!
